Hakim Pharmaceutical Company, formerly known as Iran Le Petit, was established in 1962 in Tehran.
After eight years of operation under modest setting, Hakim moved to its present premises and has continuously experienced growth and expansion. Currently, Hakim is capable of producing various dosage forms such as: tablets, coated tablets, capsules, oral drop, syrup and oral suspension, topical solution, topical gel, topical cream, ointment and suppositories. Hakim is continuously increasing its production capacities and is currently engaged in updating its equipment and sensitive laboratory instruments.

Forward-looking vision of Hakim's management has always emphasized its commitment to public health manifested by an effective and efficient drug treatment strategy within the options available in patient care. Through research and development, Hakim is striving for excellence and preparing itself for the new challenges of the increasingly global market.

Hakim's mission statement guides us towards two major goals for the first decade of 21st century:

1- Providing safer and more effective drug delivery systems at a price that patients could afford;

2- Enhancing the quality of the present formulation more user friendly (i.e. masking the tastes, providing sustained release dosage form for better patience compliance and etc.).

Hakim is establishing its scientific links with major pharmaceutical, engineering and medical schools in the nation. We have gathered one of the best formulation team in the nation and have just inaugurated a brand new laboratory as part of our efforts to support the R&D department and its active personnel. In the coming years, Hakim shall once again relocate to a more modern and expansive factory to ensure that our activities can meet the cGMP, and the high standards that has been set by our share-holders and devoted customers.
